DFSK F5 / IX5Timing chain or Belt?

The DFSK F5 or Dongfeng Fengguang F5 or ix5 is a mid-size D-segment SUV coupé from the Chinese group Dongfeng Xiaokang under the DFSK brand, one of its sub-brands resulting from the partnership between Dongfeng and Sokon. The model is sold under several names: in Spain and Germany it is marketed as the DFSK F5, in South Korea its name is DFSK Fengon iX5, and in Morocco it is sold as the DFSK Glory iX5. Its introduction in Europe has been slow, but it is expected to be distributed under the same name used by DFSK Ibérica, which is DFSK F5.

This coupé SUV or "CUV" is a mid-size 5-door crossover with a sporty aesthetic. It features a front-engine layout and front-wheel drive.

Despite having several engine options, European versions are only equipped with the 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 gasoline engine, designed by FARDA CO, which easily complies with Euro 6D emission standards. The engine delivers 137 hp and is paired with a CVT transmission. There are also bi-fuel versions combining gasoline and LPG. In other markets, the F5 is sold with a couple of additional engines: the naturally aspirated 1.8 GDI, shared with the DFSK 580, and the turbocharged 2.0 GDI. All are inline-4 gasoline engines paired with a CVT transmission.
