About LOTUS 2 ELEVEN
The Lotus 2-Eleven is a two-seater convertible sports car manufactured by Lotus Cars. It was produced between 2007 and 2011, based on the design of the Lotus Exige S. Its predecessor was the Lotus 340R and its successor was the Lotus 3-Eleven.
The Lotus 2-Eleven was unveiled at the 2007 London Motor Show. It was based on the Lotus Exige S, but with reduced weight and increased power. It was designed to be a track car, but could also be homologated for road use. This vehicle featured an aluminum chassis and a fiberglass body. Its interior was very simple, as it was designed solely for driving enjoyment, with a focus on enthusiast drivers.
Regarding the engine, the 2-Eleven used a supercharged 1.8-liter Toyota 2ZZ-GE. It developed 252 hp and 242 Nm of torque. It accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reached a top speed of 241 km/h.
There were track and road versions available. They had minor differences. For example, the track version weighed less and was slightly longer. The main competitors of the Lotus 2-Eleven were the Caterham Seven, the Ariel Atom, and the Radical SR3.
