About SSANGYONG KYRON
The SsangYong Kyron is a D-segment SUV from the Korean manufacturer SsangYong Motor, which belongs to the company Mahindra & Mahindra. It was first introduced in 2005 and remained in production until 2014.
The Kyron replaced the SsangYong Musso, and was designed to compete in the growing mid-size SUV market. Initially, it was only offered with diesel engines built by Mercedes-Benz. It was available in two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions. It featured a spacious interior with seating for up to five people.
Starting in 2014, the Kyron was replaced by the SsangYong Rexton. In 2022, the Korean brand launched the SsangYong Torres, also within this segment. There was only one generation of the SsangYong Kyron, although it did receive a fairly significant exterior redesign midway through the vehicle's lifecycle.
