Abarth 500 / 595 / 695 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Abarth / List of Abarth 500 Models without Timing Belt

The Abarth 500 is a sports car of the Abarth brand. It is based on the Fiat 500. The brand belongs to the Italian conglomerate Fiat under the FCA Group (Stellantis after the merger with PSA).

Initially, this sports car was known as Fiat 500 Abarth. It has been marketed since 2008. It is a car with a high power-to-weight ratio. It uses 4-cylinder turbo engines (T-Jet and MultiAir Turbo), which added to the light weight of the chassis, make this vehicle one of the most powerful microcars on the market while economic.

Depending on the engine, performance and trim, the Abarth 500 is sold under a different name. The standard range is the A-segment (Turismo, Competizione, Esseesse and Scorpioneoro). On the other hand, the Abarth 695 is a more radical sports car, and is sold under the name Biposto and Rivale among other limited versions in honor of mythical Italian brands (Ferrari, Maseratti…). The convertible version is sold as Abarth 500C / 595C / 695C.
