The Cadillac SRX is a high-end SUV (E-segment in Europe) manufactured by the American marque General Motors. It was sold between the years 2003 and 2016 in a total of 2 generations.
The first generation model was a 5-door SUV with 3 rows of seats. It was built on the GM Sigma platform, and was equipped with 3.6-liter (V6) and 4.6-liter (Northstar V8) gasoline engines. There were versions with 4-wheel drive and received much praise from the press for its performance and comfort.
The second generation SRX began production in 2009. It was built on the GM Theta Premium platform. This Cadillac SRX was available only with 3.0-liter V6 or 2.8 turbo engines. The SRX was replaced by the XT5 in 2016. In addition, the XT6, another SUV that retained the 7-seater, was also introduced.
Among the alternatives to this SUV are the Audi Q5, Acura MDX, Infiniti QX70, Mercedes GL/GLE-Class and Lexus GX among many others.
