The Infiniti QX70 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV (E-segment in Europe) manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan under its premium brand Inifiniti. It is a rebadge of the previous Infiniti FX from 2013.
The first generation Infiniti QX70 is the same as the second generation Infiniti FX, which began its production in 2008. Both share the same code (S51). This model was marketed until 2017, when the brand decided not to give it continuity and invest in the Infiniti QX50 instead. Regarding this model, it had a 5-liter V8 engine that was only sold in the United States in 2014. Otherwise, it continued with the 3.7-liter V6 engine and a diesel engine that was only sold in Europe.
The Infiniti QX70 has only one generation to date. Its main competitors were the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5, Range Rover Sport and Lexus GX. There are rumors that the marque wants to continue this model going forward with a potential second generation. However, its natural successor is considered to be the Infiniti QX60.
