About PORSCHE CAYENNE

The Porsche Cayenne is an E-segment luxury SUV developed by the German brand Porsche, owned by the Volkswagen Group. It was the brand's first non-sports vehicle and inaugurated the luxury SUV segment following its market launch in 2002.

The Cayenne has had a total of 3 generations. The first of all was built on the Volkswagen Group's PL71 platform, shared with the Volkswagen Touareg and later with the Audi Q7. The second generation was built on the PL72 base, an improvement of the previous one. The current version is built on the MLB Evo platform, shared with most large Audi vehicles, the Volkswagen Touareg, and the Lamborghini Urus.

The Cayenne is Porsche's largest and most powerful SUV, ranking above the Macan. Both crossovers are produced at the Leipzig plant. Among its alternatives are SUV vehicles from both the E and F segments, such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the BMW X5, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, or its platform siblings, the Audi Q7 and the Volkswagen Touareg.
