About PORSCHE CAYMAN / 718 CAYMAN

The Porsche Cayman is a luxury sports coupé developed by the German brand Porsche, owned by the Volkswagen Group. Both the Boxster and the Cayman are the same vehicle, with the body style being their only difference. The Cayman is a fastback coupé, while the Boxster is its convertible or roadster version. Currently, both models are marketed under the name Porsche 718, in their variants: Porsche 718 Cayman and Porsche 718 Spyder.

The Cayman is a sports car positioned below the Porsche 911, somewhat more affordable, and which came to the market as a variant of the second-generation Boxster. There are and have been multiple versions and trim levels of this sports car, such as the Cayman R, Cayman S, Cayman T, Cayman S Sport, Cayman S Black Edition, Cayman GTS, or Cayman GT4.

There are 3 generations of the Cayman. Some of its current rivals include the Mazda MX-5, the Nissan 370Z, the Mercedes-Benz SLC-Class (formerly SLK), the BMW Z4, the Audi TT, the Toyota GT86, the Alfa Romeo 4C, and the Alpine A110.
