About PORSCHE PANAMERA

The Porsche Panamera is an F-segment luxury car developed by the German brand Porsche, which is owned by the Volkswagen Group. It is a four-door sedan with a fastback body style. Its name comes from the Carrera Panamericana race, much like the «911 Carrera».

The Panamera was born in 2010, during a brief era when many luxury brands brought high-prestige sedans to the market. It was the first vehicle of this nature created by Porsche. It features a front-longitudinal engine (just like some of the brand's coupes) and SUVs. It has rear-wheel and all-wheel drive versions. In 2013, a plug-in hybrid version went on sale, the Panamera S E-Hybrid, which in turn was the first luxury car to introduce this technology.

There are 2 generations of the Panamera. Among its competitors are the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, the Maserati Quattroporte GTS, the Cadillac CTS-V, while other competitors launched similar vehicles, such as the Ferrari FF or the Aston Martin Rapide.
