Infiniti Q50 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Infiniti / List of Infiniti Q50 Models without Timing Belt

The Infiniti Q50 is a compact executive car (D-segment in Europe) manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan under its premium brand Infiniti. This car substituted the Infiniti G in 2013.

The Infiniti Q50 was based on the Infiniti Essence and Infiniti Etherea, two concepts presented in Genoa in 2009 and 2011. The model uses the Nissan FM platform. Like many other Infiniti models, the Q50 benefits from Mercedes-Benz components thanks to agreements between the Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler. In this case, the 2.0-liter gasoline engine used in the standard Q50 is a Mercedes-Benz M274. In the United States and Canada, the model was marketed with the 3.7 V6 and 3.5 V6 hybrid engines. Europe and Australia were the only markets where the Infiniti Q50 was sold with a diesel engine, also from Mercedes.

The Infiniti Q50 has only one generation so far. It has been marketed in multiple variants, such as the Infiniti Q50L, a longer version exclusively for the Chinese market. Among the alternatives to the Infiniti Q50 are sedans such as the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, Volvo S60, Jaguar XE, Alfa Romeo Giulia and Lexus IS.
