The Cupra Ateca is a premium compact SUV car (C-segment in Europe). from the Spanish brand Cupra and manufactured by Volkswagen Group. It is based on the Seat Ateca. The Cupra Ateca was introduced in 2018 and was the inaugurating model when the brand became independent from Seat.
This is the sportiest version of the Seat Ateca, above the Xperience Plus and FR range. It has performance brakes (Brembo) and bucket seats, as well as DSG gearboxes.
The Cupra Ateca competes with other similar premium vehicles. Some of its competitors are the Mercedes GLA 35 Class, the Volkswagen T-Roc R, the BMW X2 M325i and the Audi SQ2.
