MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Mercedes-Benz / List of Mercedes GLA Models without Timing Belt

The Mercedes-Benz GLA is a high-end compact SUV (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by the German automaker Daimler. It has been in production since 2013 and uses the same platform as the A-Class and the Mercedes CLA. It also shares part of its components with the Infiniti QX30, due to the agreement between Daimler and the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The GLA is currently Mercedes-Benz’s smallest SUV.

Some of its competitors are the Audi Q3, Volvo XC40, the BMW X1 and the Range Rover Evoque. There have been 2 generations of this vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz GLA – Second Generation (H247)

SUV (H247)

The second-generation GLA-Class was introduced in December 2019. It uses the MFA 2 platform, where the A-Class, the B-Class and the GLB are also produced. This base is modular and designed entirely with the idea of being fully versatile, allowing for hybridization and electrification. Therefore, all Mercedes-Benz models that make use of this manufacturing platform can be expected to have plug-in hybrid and electric versions.

Compared to the original model, this new GLA-Class has several benefits, the most prominent being a roomier interior. Lack of space in the cabin was one of the most common complaints about the first-generation SUV, which made travelling in the rear seats particularly uncomfortable for tall people.
