Mercedes-Benz G-Class — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Mercedes-Benz / List of Mercedes G-Class Models without Timing Belt

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is an all-terrain vehicle manufactured by the German marque Mercedes-Benz. It has been sold since 1979, although it did not receive the G-Class name until 1990.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class was developed as a military vehicle. However, Daimler took advantage of the investment to launch a variant for civilian use as well. This SUV is the longest-lived model of the brand. Throughout history, it has been sold with a multitude of different engines and equipment, but maintaining the same structure and design.

In 2018, Mercedes announced a second generation of this vehicle. The vehicle’s size was slightly increased and the interior comfort was significantly improved. They improved the suspension and new driving aid features were added.

This vehicle has been sold in both short wheelbase (SWB) and long wheelbase (LWB) versions. A multitude of AMG performance versions have also been launched, and even 6-wheel drive and 6×6 variants. In addition to the SUV body, this SUV has had convertible and customizable variants (Platform Trucks).
