Mercedes-Benz S-Class — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Mercedes-Benz / List of Mercedes S-Class Models without Timing Belt

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a luxury car (F-segment in Europe) manufactured by the German automaker Daimler. Historically, it has been their top of the range vehicle and Mercedes-Benz’s flagship. The latest S-Class generation is always regarded as a foresight of what future cars will be like. Features that are standard nowadays were at some point innovative technology within this vehicle: seat belts, airbags, Stability Control (ESP) and Brake Lock Control (ABS) were once exclusive to the S-Class. In addition to being a powerful and heavy car, it has always stood out for its safety, which is why it included all these active and passive safety systems before anyone else on the market.

Throughout its time on the market, the S-Class has had many competitors. Most of them are no longer in production. Nowadays, it competes against the Audi A8, the Jaguar XJ and the BMW 7 Series. There have been a total of 6 generations of this vehicle. Some of this models are sold under the luxury brand Maybach, also owned by Daimler AG.
