Mercedes-Benz 190 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Mercedes-Benz / List of Mercedes 190 Models without Timing Belt

The Mercedes-Benz 190 (W201) is a high-end car (D-segment in Europe) manufactured by the German automaker Daimler AG. The 190 arrived to the market in 1982 and was the replacement for the Mercedes-Benz W110. It was discontinued in 1993, giving way to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz W201 received the trade name “Mercedes-Benz 190“, a name that had already had its predecessors decades earlier. It was a very successful model, with good sales and outstanding specifications. It had numerous versions with both diesel and petrol/gasoline engines.

Among its versions were the sporty variants, which competed against the BMW M3 Sport Evolution or the Audi Quattro. One of the most iconic variants was the 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II, a highly sought-after model that stood out for its huge spoiler and aesthetics.
