DS 5 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / DS Automobiles / List of DS 5 Models without Timing Belt

The DS 5 is a luxury crossover car (D-segment in Europe) by the French brand DS Automobiles, which is Citroën’s premium brand under the umbrella of PSA (now Stellantis). It was born in 2011 under the Citroën brand and was originally called Citroën DS5. It would later disassociate itself from Citröen, as would all the models in its family. It became the DS 5 with the arrival of Phase 2 in 2015.

The DS 5 is produced on the PSA PF2 platform. This means that it shares many of its components with other vehicles in its group, such as the Peugeot 3008 or the Citroen C5.

In terms of its bodywork, the DS 5 is hard to categorize. It has the length of a D-segment sedan, but its height is clearly considered to be a crossover. Sometimes it is cataloged as a minivan, although the height of this vehicle and its structure are far from this concept, being more similar to a family hatchback or shooting brake body.

The DS 5 has HDI and BlueHDI diesel engines and gasoline Puretech, all 4-cylinder in line. The diesel versions have a hybrid variant (Citroën DS5 Hybrid4) that became the presidential car of France in 2012.

A variant of the DS 5 was created sorely for China, called DS 5LS. It is a premium sedan sold directly under the DS brand and based on the Peugeot 301 / Citroën C-Elysée.
