About MASERATI MC20

The Maserati MC20 is a luxury Gran Turismo sports car by the Italian manufacturer Maserati, part of the FCA conglomerate (currently Stellantis). Its acronym stands for «Maserati Corse 2020». It is a two-seater vehicle that aims to enter the world of racing, much like its predecessor, the Maserati MC12.

The MC20 is based on the Alfa Romeo 4C platform. It features a Ferrari-derived twin-turbo V6 engine (the F154), although with its own development in Maserati's factories. The power unit was named Maserati Nettuno and produces up to 621 hp, 730 Nm of torque, and features a redline at 8,000 revolutions per minute.

It is a mid-rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle. It features an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Maserati's goal is to launch hybrid and electric versions of this model in the long term.

Among its competitors are the Lamborghini Huracán, the Audi R8, the Porsche 911, and the Aston Martin Vantage, among others.
