About SAAB 9-7X
The Saab 9-7X is an E-segment SUV produced by General Motors under the Swedish brand Saab. It was manufactured between 2004 and 2008 and was Saab's first SUV.
The Saab 9-7X was based on the GMT360 platform, which was also used in the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender, Oldsmobile Bravada, and Buick Rainier. It was introduced in 2004 and was available in two trim levels: Linear and Arc. The Linear came with a 4.2-liter inline-six engine producing 285 hp. On the other hand, the Arc came with a 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 300 hp. Both engines were coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.
The 9-7X had a spacious and luxurious interior, featuring leather seats, automatic climate control, and a Bose sound system. It also came with a variety of safety features, such as side curtain airbags, stability control, and anti-lock brakes.
The 9-7X was a popular SUV, with over 19,000 units sold in its first year of production. However, sales declined in subsequent years. Finally, after the 2009 model year, its production was discontinued.
Among the alternatives to the Saab 9-7X, we can find other luxury vehicles in its segment, such as the Volvo XC90, Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, or the Mercedes M-Class.
