TIMING CHAIN OR BELT? MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2022)

| Home / Subaru / List of Subaru Impreza Models without Timing Belt

The Subaru Impreza is a compact car (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by the Japanese automaker Subaru. It was created in 1992 as the successor to the Subaru Leone. It has a total of five generations.

The Subaru Impreza has been sold in Hatchback and Sedan bodyworks. It was available as a sportswagon and as a coupé in its first generations. The performance version of the Subaru Impreza is called Subaru WRX, which became an independent model from 2014 onward. The Impreza has had other ‘forks’ or divergences, such as the Subaru Outback Sports, or the SUV, which is currently called Subaru XV or Subaru Crosstrek, although it was initially known as Subaru Impreza XV.

The Impreza is an international car with great reputation. It is a rally icon and suffers little depreciation over the years. It has good reliability statistics, especially for its engines, which show little innovation, but have always guaranteed its quality. There are both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions of this vehicle.

Impreza’s lifelong rival has always been the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. In later versions, and with WRX STi models having their own product line, the Impreza has become a more convencional compact car, destined to compite against the Toyota Corolla, the Mazda 3 or the Honda Civic among many others. Subaru has decided to fit the Impreza with the most efficient technologies, eg. hybrid engines.

Down below you will see a list with all Subaru Impreza models which have been produced so far. They are classified by model identifier, year and type of bodywork. Above each list, we show you a series of pictures so that you can have a visual reference for each model. In some cases, both the original and its updated design are displayed to help you identify them with ease.
