Chrysler 300C — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Chrysler / List of Chrysler 300C Models without Timing Belt

The Chrysler 300C is a luxury executive sedan (E-segment in Europe) manufactured by the American marque Chrysler. The model was produced by DaimlerChrysler AG between 2004 and 2007. This was followed by the Chrtsler LLC stage (2007 – 2013) and finally the FCA era, which would later end up within the Stellantis conglomerate together with PSA.

Prior to the 300C, Chrysler sold the Chrysler 300 Series (also called “Chrysler 300 Letter Series“) for years.

Regarding the 300C as such, there are 2 generations, the first one being born in 2004. The first version was built on the Chrysler LX platform, which was derived from Mercedes-Benz, so it shares elements with the Mercedes E-Class (W5A580 / WA580) and S-Class (W220). Its designer, Tom Gale was inspired by the 1955 Chrysler C-300. Two versions were created, the standard (sedan or notchback sedan) and family or station wagon, called Touring. Within these models there were Limited, SRT-8 and some special variants.

The second generation would arrive in 2011 on the Chrysler LD platform. It was not introduced in Europe, but was renamed Lancia Thema and was sold until 2014. This version continued the line of the previous one. However, only the sedan variant of the vehicle was kept. It shares elements with quite a few Dodge vehicles, such as the Dodge Charger or Challenger, including the SRT engines of the performance versions. In 2015 the model was given a redesign, adding aesthetic changes as well as more modern active safety and infotainment systems.
