The Chrysler Sebring is a passenger car (D-segment in Europe) manufactured by the American marque Chrysler. This series of vehicles were in production between 1995 and 2010. The line included convertibles, sedans and coupes.
The first generation Chrysler Sebring debuted with the coupe in 1995, launched as a replacement for the Chrysler LeBaron Coupe. It was built on the Mitsubishi Eclipse platform. A convertible version was launched a year later.
The second generation was introduced in 2001, in three different body styles. The coupe continued to use a separate platform, while the other two were based on the new Chrysler JR platform. In 2004, the model underwent a few style changes, and the coupe version began to be withdrawn from some markets.
The third generation of the Chrysler Sebring was introduced in 2007. Only the sedan and convertible versions remained. Aesthetically, it shared the same design line with the Chrysler Crossfire.
The model offered three engine options: a 2.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine, a 2.7-liter V6 engine and a 3.5-liter V6 engine. Export versions of the Sebring came with a Volkswagen-built 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine and a 2.0-liter GEMA engine. The 3.5-liter V6 sedan was available with all-wheel drive.
In 2011, the brand decided not to continue producing this model, so the Sebring was replaced by the Chrysler 200.
