About TATA ALTROZ

The Tata Altroz is a B-segment subcompact car from the Indian manufacturer Tata Motors. It was launched in January 2020. The name "Altroz" was inspired by the name of a bird species, the albatross. To date, the vehicle has only one generation.

Currently, the Tata Altroz is produced on the ALFA-ARC platform and features three engines: a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine, a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, and a 1.5-liter turbodiesel. A 5-speed manual transmission is offered, along with a wet dual-clutch automatic option known as the Altroz DCA. In the future, the manufacturer plans to release an electric version of this hatchback.

Regarding safety, the Tata Altroz was tested by Global NCAP in 2020, achieving five stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for child occupant protection. However, its lack of ESP means the vehicle's doors are closed to many markets globally.

As for its alternatives, we can find options such as the Suzuki Baleno, the Hyundai i20, or the Honda Jazz.
