About TATA HARRIER
The Tata Harrier is a C-segment compact SUV from the Indian brand Tata Motors. This vehicle has been produced since 2018 and is assembled in Ranjangaon, Pune, India. It is also known as the Tata Buzzard Sport and Tata H5 in some countries. The Harrier is positioned between the subcompact Tata Nexon and the Tata Safari.
The Tata Harrier is based on the OmegaArc platform, a re-engineered version of the Jaguar-Land Rover D8 platform used by models such as the Range Rover Evoque and the Land Rover Discovery Sport. This platform is known for its monocoque construction and crumple zones for safety. Regarding powertrains, the Harrier features 2-liter Multijet / Kryotec diesel engines, produced by Fiat in Pune, India.
The Harrier has had several special editions, such as the #Dark edition and the Camo edition. Additionally, in January 2023 at the Auto Expo, an all-electric Harrier EV concept with four-wheel drive was presented, which is expected to go into production by late 2024.
The Tata Harrier competes with vehicles such as the Jeep Compass and the MG Hector, which also use the same 2.0-liter diesel engine. These models offer similar features and specifications, but each has its own set of advantages and unique characteristics that appeal to different customer segments.
