Volvo C70 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Volvo / List of Volvo C70 Models without Timing Belt

The Volvo C70 is a luxury sports car (D-segment In Europe) by the Swedish marque Volvo. It had a total of 2 generations, and was sold with coupe and convertible bodies.

The first-generation C70 was Volvo’s first modern convertible. It featured a number of safety features, such as an automatic rollover system, seat belt pretensioners and airbags. This Volvo C70 was available with various gasoline engines and manual and automatic transmissions. The convertible top was fully automatic and stowed under a tonneau cover when not in use. Despite this, it was criticized for its poor rear visibility and constant dashboard shaking, problems that significantly affected the driving.

The second generation was introduced in 2005 and was manufactured by Pininfarina Sverige. It shared the same platform as the Volvo S40. It improved in both design and safety. In 2010, the model was updated. Subsequently, several special editions were released. However, in 2013, Pininfarina Sverige was dissolved, so production of this sports car ceased.

Alternatives to this convertible include the Audi A5 Convertible, BMW 4 Series Convertible, Lexus IS C or Infiniti Q60 Convertible.
