About JEEP AVENGER
The Jeep Avenger is a B-segment subcompact SUV from the American brand Jeep, under the umbrella of the Stellantis conglomerate. It is a vehicle conceived to be electric —it is the brand's first fully electric model—, although it is also sold with a gasoline engine. This model is the smallest in the range, and is positioned below the Jeep Renegade.
The first-generation Avenger was presented in September 2022 and hit the European market in early 2023. It is based on the Stellantis group's eCMP platform, the same one used by models like the Peugeot 2008 or the Opel Mokka. In its electric version, it offers a WLTP electric range of up to 400 km thanks to its 54 kWh battery. The electric motor develops 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque. In 2023, a mild hybrid gasoline version with a 1.2-liter turbo engine of 100 hp was added.
The Avenger stands out for its off-road capabilities, with a ground clearance of 20 cm, approach and departure angles of 20 and 32 degrees respectively, and the Selec-Terrain system. However, all its current versions only feature front-wheel drive. In 2023, it was named Car of the Year in Europe, the first Jeep model to win this award.
The main rivals of the Jeep Avenger in Europe are models like the Hyundai Kona Electric or the Nissan Juke Hybrid. It also competes with other cars with which it shares a platform, although less premium, such as the Peugeot e-2008 or the Opel Mokka-e.
