Chevrolet Orlando — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Chevrolet / List of Chevrolet Orlando Models without Timing Belt

The Chevrolet Orlando is a compact minivan (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by the American marque General Motors. The original model was launched in 2011 and was developed and manufactured by its subsidiary, GM Korea (which was formerly called Daewoo).z

The first generation Chevrolet Orlando saw the light at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, reaching production in 2010 under the GM Delta II platform. It shares many elements with the Chevrolet Cruze, although during that time, General Motors produced the Opel Zafira using the exact same platform. During this generation, General Motors did not consider this vehicle an MPV, but an “ALV” (Active Life Vehicle). They claimed that this was the world’s first car in this category. Nowadays we could consider it as an MPV with a Crossover body. It could be said that the Chevy Orlando slightly anticipated the SUV phenomenon that would expand through the market.

Focusing on the European, Canadian and South Korean markets, there is only one generation of the Chevrolet Orlando. The second generation of the Chevrolet Orlando was created exclusively for China. It arrived in the country in 2018 and was produced in collaboration with SAIC (SAIC-GM) using the D2XX platform, which is the same base used for the Buick GL6.
