Ford Galaxy Mk1 / Mk2 – First Generation (1995)

MPV (WGR)

The Ford Galaxy Gen 1 was developed as a joint venture between Ford and the Volkswagen Group. This collaboration produced three similar vehicles: the Ford Galaxy, the Volkswagen Sharan and the Seat Alhambra, each of those cars with their own bodywork and equipment.

Among the peculiarities of the Galaxy Mk1 is the use of 1.9 TDI engines from VAG, which are well-known for their reliability. Regarding the gasoline engines, there are models with Volkswagen engines and others of Ford origin (4-digit identifier), the latter being the least powerful of the entire range of petrol engines. The most powerful version had a 2.8 VR6 engine that was used on the higher range Golf Mk3 of its generation.
