Ford Puma — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Ford / List of Ford Puma Models Without Timing Belt

The brand Ford Puma has been used to design two different vehicles by automaker Ford. The name was first used in 1997. The first generation was a sport compact coupé. It was only available in Europe and its production stopped in 2001. In 2019, Ford decided to reuse the surname to create the Ford Puma 2 Gen, a SUV or compact crossover (B-segment in Europe).

The new Puma is clearly inspired on the original Sports Puma, but the dissonance between concepts has risen criticism among carlovers about this Ford strategy. Many believe the second generation pollutes the good reputation of the original vehicle, which was due to reach the ‘Classic Car’ status in the next decade. Either way, there are two generations of the Ford Puma to date.
