About RANGE ROVER VELAR
The Range Rover Velar is an E-segment luxury SUV from the British manufacturer Land Rover, part of the Jaguar Land Rover company, which in turn is owned by Tata Motors. It has been in production since 2017. The Velar continues the modern trend started by its younger sibling, the Evoque, which launched a line of cars with a sporty look and a truly meticulous design under the Range Rover brand.
There is only one generation of the Range Rover Velar, or as its full technical name goes: Land Rover Range Rover Velar. It uses the group's Jaguar Land Rover iQ D7a platform, meaning it shares a multitude of components with the Jaguar F-Pace, the Jaguar XF, and the Jaguar XE. It is a vehicle that features a range of high-performance engines and comes with 8-speed automatic transmissions and 4-wheel drive configurations.
Among the Velar's rivals are the Audi Q8, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Acura MDX, the Porsche Cayenne, the Volvo XC90, the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, and the BMW X6.
