The Honda FR-V is a compact minivan or MPV (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by the Japanese marque Honda. It is a six-seater vehicle that began production in 2004, and its 3+3 seating configuration was chosen to compete against the Fiat Multipla. The acronym of this car stands for ‘Flexible Recreation Vehicle‘. In Japan, this minivan is marketed as Honda Edix.
The Honda FR-V uses a platform derived from the Honda CR-V, which in turn comes from the Civic. The strength of this vehicle is its ability to configure the seats, with 32 different combinations. The FR-V is only one generation old, although it had a mid-generation restyling, albeit a very subtle one. It was during this second stage when the diesel variant was added. The minivan ceased production in mid-2009, and Honda did not create a successor for this line. Subsequently, it would bet on the SUV lines to bet on the public that drives this type of family vehicles.
