Honda S2000 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Honda / List of Honda S2000 Models without Timing Belt

The Honda S2000 is a sports roadster manufactured by the Japanese marque Honda. It began production in 1999 and was launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Japanese company. Its name comes precisely from its displacement, in the same way that did other roadsters of the brand as the S500, S600 and S800 in the 80s.

The Honda S2000 is a vehicle that is highly valued by motoring fans for its sporty character, making it a very coveted model nowadays. In fact, the examples that are in good condition do not stop being revalued. The reason is a model like this will never be produced again, according to car enthusiasts.

There is only one generation of the Honda S2000, which ceased production in 2009. However, there were multiple revisions throughout its 10 years on the market. The original model is known as AP1, while a revision that came out later, with changes to the suspension and powertrain, was called AP2, although it was only sold in North America and Japan. According to many experts, this second revision made the car easier to drive, making the model lose some of its appeal.
