Kia Spectra / Forte / Cerato — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Kia / List of Kia Cerato Models without Timing Belt

The Kia Cerato is a compact car (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by the South Korean marque Kia Motors. It was launched as a global replacement for both the Kia Sephia and the Kia Shuma in 2003, and now has a total of four generations. In North America, this model is marketed as the Kia Forte. In Europe, this model stopped being sold in 2005, as the conglomerate decided to focus on the Kia Ceed only.

The first generation Cerato was sold as Kia Sephia or Kia Spectra in North and Latin America. It shared a platform with the Hyundai Elantra and used four-cylinder Beta II engines. It had hatchback and sedan versions. In 2006, the model was redesigned with new Gamma engines and a performance version.

The second generation of the Cerato / Forte was introduced in 2008. At this time, the model was sold in sedan, hatchback and coupe (Koup) body styles.

The third generation was launched in 2012 as a facelifted version of the Kia K3. In 2018, the Korean brand launched the fourth-generation model, which is the current version. This model added numerous driving assistance improvements, as well as more efficient engines.
