Kia XCeed — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Kia / List of Kia XCeed Models without Timing Belt

The Kia XCeed is a SUV (C-segment in Europe) manufactured by the South Korean marque Kia Motors. It emerged from the third generation of the Kia Ceed and is a crossover based exactly on the platform of the Ceed. It has been on the market since 2019.

Starting in 2020, the XCeed began to be sold with plug-in hybrid engines (PHEV), exactly the same technology that equips the Kia Niro. Unlike the Niro, the XCeed does have Hybrid + Diesel versions. All versions of the XCeed with battery have the accumulator behind the seats, so the trunk volume is considerably reduced compared to models that mount only thermal engines.

The XCeed, together with the ProCeed can be considered extra body styles of the Kia Ceed, although it is more logical to classify them separately, as they are aimed at different customers.

Aesthetically, the XCeed is an SUV with a very low center of gravity, a trend that has begun to be key from 2020. This phenomenon is happening a lot in crossovers due to the fact that raising the bodywork too much means a higher energy cost for the vehicle (both due to the aerodynamic coefficient and the height and weight of the tires). The increase in European Union emissions fines has meant that many SUVs have begun to lose their height.

There is only one generation of the Kia XCeed to date.

Down below you will see a list with all Kia XCeed models that have been produced. They are classified by model identifier, year and type of bodywork. Above each list, we show you a series of pictures so that you can have a visual reference for each model. In some cases, both the original and its updated design are displayed to help you identify them with ease.

In this guide you will find all Kia XCeed.

If a car model is specified in blue, it means its motor engine has a timing chain; that is, it has no timing belt. The rest of the vehicles marked in grey have a timing belt/cam belt.
