About LANCIA MUSA
The Lancia Musa is a B-segment subcompact minivan produced by the Italian manufacturer Lancia, a subsidiary of Fiat, between 2004 and 2012. It is a model that had a single generation throughout its commercialization, with some aesthetic and equipment updates midway through its lifespan.
The design of this MPV started from the Fiat Idea (Fiat B platform), adapted by Flavio Manzoni and later by Marco Tencone, maintaining certain stylistic features of the Lancia Ypsilon at its front and rear. It was presented at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show and its production took place at the Mirafiori plant in Turin.
The Lancia Musa offered 1.3, 1.6, and 1.9-liter Multijet diesel engines with powers ranging between 70 and 120 hp, as well as a 95 hp naturally aspirated 1.4-liter FIRE gasoline engine. It featured 5 and 6-speed manual gearboxes,
In 2007, it received a slight redesign with aesthetic changes to bumpers, LED rear lights, and greater trunk capacity. In 2009, the diesel engines were also improved to comply with the Euro 5 emissions regulations.
The main rivals of the Lancia Musa were models such as the Opel Meriva, Citroën C3 Picasso, Renault Modus, or even the Fiat Idea itself, which was technically very similar, but with a larger minivan body.
