About LANCIA DEDRA
The Lancia Dedra is a D-segment sedan by the Italian brand Lancia. It was launched as the successor to the Lancia Prisma. It only had one generation on the market, between 1989 and 1999, when it was replaced by the Lancia Lybra.
The Lancia Dedra was built on the Fiat Tipo Tres platform, which was also used in the Fiat Tempra and the Alfa Romeo 155. It entered the market with 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0 gasoline engines, as well as a 1.9 turbodiesel engine. The initial trim levels were LX, LS, and HF.
In 1991, the Dedra Integrale version was introduced with four-wheel drive and a 169 hp turbocharged 2.0 engine. The Dedra 2000 turbo version also arrived with the same engine, but front-wheel drive. In 1992, it received a redesign with aesthetic and equipment changes. In 1994, the station wagon version developed by Heuliez arrived.
As rivals, the Dedra competed against the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes C-Class, the Audi 80, and the Saab 9000.
