About CITROEN C3 PICASSO
The Citroën C3 Picasso is a B-segment MPV manufactured by Citroën. It was introduced at the 2008 Paris Motor Show and went on sale in early 2009.
This mini MPV is a five-door vehicle with a transverse front engine, front-wheel drive, and five seats. It was based on the same platform as the Peugeot 207 and the second-generation Citroën C3, and was manufactured in Trnava, Slovakia.
The Citroën C3 Picasso stands out for its modern design and interior space. Its rear seats can be folded independently and slid longitudinally by 150 mm. The higher-end versions feature a panoramic roof, providing a glass surface area of 4.52 m². In 2010, an off-road-styled version called the Citroën C3 Aircross was added.
At its launch, the C3 Picasso offered a range of inline four-cylinder engines with four valves per cylinder, sourced from other PSA Group models: a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with 95 hp, a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 120 hp, and a 90 or 109 hp diesel engine. The diesel engines featured common-rail direct injection, and the 109 hp diesel included an intercooler with a variable geometry turbocharger.
The main competitors of the Citroën C3 Picasso were models such as the Fiat 500L, Renault Modus, Nissan Note, Opel Meriva, and Kia Soul. The C3 Picasso had only one generation, and its production in Europe stopped in 2018.
