About CITROEN C5 AIRCROSS
The Citroen C5 Aircross is a C-segment SUV manufactured by the French automaker PSA (Stellantis). It stems from the "Aircross" concept previously launched in other vehicles of the brand, with its predecessor being the Citroen C4 Aircross. It began commercialization at the end of 2018. For its construction, it uses the PSA EMP2 Platform, the same one used by other vehicles of the group such as the Opel Grandland X, the Peugeot 3008, and the DS 7 Crossback. In addition to the BlueHDI and Puretech versions, it is also sold in a Plug-in Hybrid version.
This vehicle is in a segment where there is immense competition, due to the great boom of this type of body style in recent years. We can highlight as competitors the Renault Kadjar, the Nissan Qashqai, the Toyota RAV4, the Seat Ateca, the Kia Sportage, and the Hyundai Tucson, among others. There is only one generation of this SUV so far.
The Citroen C5 Aircross features a wide range of Puretech engines. It starts with the 1.2-liter Puretech 130 engine, and the maximum configuration reaches the 1.6 hybrid model which develops 180 horsepower. Regarding diesel engines, two motorizations of 1.5 and 2 liters are available, which develop the same power as the gasoline options.
