CITROEN C3: timing chain or timing belt information

About CITROEN C3

The Citroen C3 is a B-segment subcompact utility car from the French manufacturer PSA (Stellantis). It is a subcompact with a hatchback body style. It was designed to replace the legendary Citroen Saxo. Its first version dates back to 2002, and since then it has been sold with multiple body styles and nameplates.

The name "C3" has become a category within the French brand, leading to the creation of various models with this badge, such as the C3 Picasso (a small minivan or mini MPV) or the C3 Aircross (a subcompact SUV).

Over the years, the Citroen C3 has shifted towards the more affordable range of B-segment vehicles. The PSA Group has preferred to cover the segment using the Opel Corsa and Peugeot 208, which share the segment, leaving the C3 as a more accessible vehicle. Among the competitors of this utility car we could highlight the Chevrolet Aveo, Seat Ibiza, Dacia Sandero, Kia Rio, and Hyundai i20, among others. There have been a total of three generations of this utility car.
