About Peugeot 208
The Peugeot 208 is a B-segment subcompact car from the French manufacturer PSA (Stellantis). It was presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the Peugeot 207. Its first generation used the PSA PF1 Platform, shared with the Citroën C3, Citroën C4 Cactus, and DS3. Starting with the second generation, PSA acquired Opel and reorganized the group ahead of the subsequent acquisition of FCA. The Citroëns would no longer share a platform with the 208, and instead, the Opel Corsa and Opel Mokka would do so on the PSA CMP (EMP1) Platform. This base will help PSA save costs and pave the way for electrification.
The 208's competitors are varied, but we can highlight some such as the Toyota Yaris, the Seat Ibiza, the Mazda 2, the Ford Fiesta, among many others. There have been a total of two generations of this subcompact car.
