About PEUGEOT PARTNER
The Peugeot Partner is an LAV van from the French manufacturer PSA (Stellantis). It is known as the "PSA small van". It has been sold since 1996 under the Citroën and Peugeot brands. Starting from the third generation, changes were made, splitting the Partner into two new models. Historically, the Peugeot Partner and Citroën Berlingo have been two identical vehicles. Both have been sold in cargo van and passenger versions.
The second generation of the van shared its platform with the Peugeot 308 and Citroën C4. It arrived in 2008 with more powerful engines and even equipped the new crop of HDI FAP engines. The passenger version would be renamed the Peugeot Partner Tepee. This generation had 2 phases and even an electric version with 67 hp presented at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Just as happened with the Peugeot 207, which coexisted with the Peugeot 206+, Peugeot made a very similar move with this van. It relaunched the first generation during the development of the second to offer the market a more affordable vehicle. This model was called the Peugeot Partner Origin. It had some aesthetic improvements compared to the original version. Finally, these entry-level versions were replaced by the Peugeot Bipper.
The third and current generation of the Peugeot Partner is produced in Vigo, Spain. The utility or passenger version of this vehicle was renamed the Peugeot Rifter. In addition, agreements between PSA and Toyota would mean this vehicle would also be sold under the name Toyota ProAce City starting in 2019. In late 2018 and following the acquisition of Opel from General Motors, the Opel Combo would also be sold with the same body, chassis, and engine options as the rest of the sister vans. Within this generation, the e-Partner van was also born, a 100% electric version of the van with a WLTP range of 275 kilometers.
The positioning of the Peugeot Partner within Peugeot's commercial vehicle catalog is located just above the Peugeot Bipper. It has had a total of 3 generations. Among its historical alternatives are the Renault Kangoo, Ford Connect, Fiat Doblo, Nissan NV-250, and Mercedes-Benz Citan, among others.
