About Peugeot 207
The Peugeot 207 is a B-segment compact utility vehicle from the French manufacturer PSA (now known as Stellantis). It went on sale in 2006 as a replacement for the Peugeot 206, although it coexisted for a time with the Peugeot 206+ starting in 2012. It was the best-selling vehicle in France between 2007 and 2010, even surpassing the Renault Clio. Starting in 2012, it took the name 207+ until its production finally ceased in 2014 with the launch of the Peugeot 208.
The Peugeot 207 shared a platform with the Citroen C2 and C3. It was longer and more expensive than the 206, which is why Peugeot decided to keep its predecessor for a while to continue having an affordable entry-level vehicle in its car portfolio.
Regarding body styles, the 207 was sold in its standard 3- and 5-door hatchback version. Additionally, there was the SW or station wagon version, the coupé / cabrio convertible (called 207 CC), the sedan available only in a few markets, and the van version, which was identical to the 3-door hatchback but featured cargo space for goods instead of rear seats.
Among the alternatives to the 207 were vehicles such as the Renault Clio, Volkswagen Polo, Opel Corsa, Fiat Grande Punto, and Ford Fiesta. It could be considered that there are 2 generations of the 207 (207 and 207+) with their different phases or restyling.
