About Peugeot 108
The Peugeot 108 is a subcompact or A-segment city car from the French manufacturer PSA (Stellantis). It was unveiled in 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show and went on sale the same year. It is manufactured at a plant in the Czech Republic in collaboration with Toyota. The Citroën C1 and the Toyota Aygo are also manufactured at this plant. You can read more information about this joint project between Peugeot-Citroën (PSA) and Toyota on the Toyota Aygo page. The 108 is the smallest car from the lion brand. It replaces the Peugeot 107, which was also manufactured in the same factory (TPCA) a few years earlier.
Regarding engines, the PSA / Toyota city car dropped diesel engines in this new generation. Toyota kept only the petrol versions of the KR 1.0 developed with PSA in the Aygo, now called 1.0 VTi. PSA, on its part, introduced one more engine, the 1.2 VTi with 82 horsepower, also known as the EB or Puretech engine.
Among the competitors of the 108 are the Hyundai i10, the Kia Picanto, the Renault Twingo, the Seat Mii, and the Smart Fortwo, in addition to the two models with which it shares its plant and platform. There is only one generation of this small city car.
