CITROEN C1: timing chain or timing belt information

About CITROEN C1

The Citroen C1 is a microcar or urban compact car in segment A by the French manufacturer PSA (Stellantis). It has been marketed since 2005 at the Kolín plant in the Czech Republic in collaboration with Toyota. The Toyota Aygo, the C1, and the Peugeot 108 are manufactured in these facilities. The Peugeot 108 and the Citroen C1 are practically the same vehicle, but unlike the car from the lion brand, the Citroen C1 is considered to have two generations, whereas for Peugeot it was separated into the 107 (equivalent to the first-generation C1) and the 108 (equivalent to the second). This peculiarity was done purely for marketing reasons, to match Peugeot's microcar to the XX8 series and prevent it from seeming outdated.

Among its competitors are the Aygo itself, the Hyundai i10, the Kia Picanto, the Renault Twingo, and the Volkswagen Up.
