About CITROEN C8
The Citroën C8 is a D-segment MPV or minivan manufactured by Sevel Nord for PSA and FCA, both groups now integrated into the Stellantis group. The original name of the model is Sevel Eurovan, and it was launched under the Fiat, Lancia, Peugeot, and Citroën brands. In the case of the Citroën C8, it corresponds to the second-generation Sevel Eurovan, which was used to replace the Citroën Evasion.
One of the reasons why PSA and FCA opted to redesign the Eurovan was precisely to modernize it, with this change arriving in 2002, 8 years after the launch of the original model. The goal of these manufacturers from the beginning was to compete with the Chrysler Voyager, which had exceptional success in Europe. Many of the Voyager's features were copied by these models, such as the sliding doors. The Citroën C8, like the Peugeot 807, looked completely different from the previous model, with a much more contemporary design in line with the new vehicles in the French brand's lineup.
The model was sold until 2014, with several minor aesthetic redesigns and engine updates. There is only one generation of the Citroën C8. Throughout this time, the C8 also rivaled the Renault Espace, the Ford Galaxy, the Toyota Previa, the Seat Alhambra, the Ssangyong Rodius, the Kia Carnival, and the Volkswagen Sharan.
