About CITROEN JUMPER
The Citroen Jumper is a large van manufactured by Sevel, a 50/50 joint venture between PSA and Fiat. This light commercial vehicle originated in 1981 and has a total of four generations, although some of them are considered phases or redesigns.
This light commercial vehicle began production in 1981 alongside the Fiat Ducato. During that initial period, the French van was named Citroen C25. It wasn't until the second generation of this van (in 1994) that Citroen renamed it Citroen Jumper or Citroen Relay. In total, there are 3 generations of the Citroen Jumper.
The first generation of the Citroën Jumper was also marketed as the Peugeot Boxer (or Peugeot Manager in Mexico). It featured 3- and 4-door van and minibus versions, as well as pickup and tow truck variants. The model received a facelift in 2002.
The second generation arrived in 2006, which corresponds to the third generation of the Fiat Ducato. This same model was sold starting in 2013 as the RAM ProMaster within the FCA conglomerate. This generation featured a multitude of Iveco and Ford engines (Puma 2.2 diesel).
In 2014, this van was updated with a new exterior and technological improvements. In addition to adding AdBlue to some diesel versions to improve emissions, an electric variant was also introduced. Although it shares a chassis with the previous model, this van is considered the third-generation model within Citroen.
Alternatives to the Citroen Jumper include other large vans such as the Renault Master, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, Nissan Interstar, Opel Movano, Peugeot Boxer, and Volkswagen Crafter.
