Hyundai i10 — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Hyundai / List of Hyundai i10 Models without Timing Belt

The Hyundai i10 is an ultra-compact urban car (A-segment in Europe) manufactured by the South Korean marque Hyundai. It is the successor of the legendary Hyundai Atos, and is also the manufacturer’s smallest and cheapest vehicle. Its bodywork is hatchback, although in some emerging markets it is sold with sedan bodywork.

In some of these countries, such as India, a version called Grand i10 is also marketed. It is based on the same platform but larger. India has historically been a key country in the development of the Hyundai i10, to the point that its first generation was initially sold exclusively on the Indian market as a test. It currently shares a platform with the Kia Picanto.

Unlike other models, the i10 does not have many competitors; most manufacturers have ruled out developing A-segment vehicles due to their high cost and low profit margin. It competes mainly with the Toyota Aygo, Volkswagen Up, Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1, with only the latter being the only one that can really compete in price with the i10. There are 3 generations of this urban microcar.
