Hyundai Trajet — TIMING CHAIN OR BELT?

MODEL LIST - (UPDATED 2023)

| Home / Hyundai / List of Hyundai Trajet Models without Timing Belt

The Hyundai Trajet is a minivan (D-segment in Europe) manufactured by the South Korean marque Hyundai Motor Company. It is a seven-seater minivan that was on sale between 1999 and 2008. Its name comes from French, and means “journey“. It replaced the Hyundai Santamo. According to Hyundai’s plans, they will resume this segment in 2023 with the Hyundai Stargazer.

The Trajet is a 3-row minivan with a design very much inspired by the American minivans of the time. It even allowed the front seats to be rotated 180 degrees to face each other, as well as turning the center seats into a table. It had one generation, although the model was updated in 2004, when a 2.7-liter Delta V6 gasoline engine was added as an option. It shared the Hyundai-Kia Y4 platform with vehicles such as the Sonata and Santa Fe. Likewise, many of its components were inherited from the first-generation Kia Carnival.

Among the alternatives to the Hyundai Trajet are models such as the Ssangyong Rodius / Stavic, Citroen C8, Mitsubishi Grandis, Peugeot 807, Lancia Phedra, Fiat Ulysse, Toyota Previa or Tata Aria.
