About HYUNDAI VENUE
The Hyundai Venue is a B-segment subcompact SUV from the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. It is a vehicle positioned slightly below the Hyundai Kona. It is sold exclusively in emerging markets, although it occupies a space similar to that of the Hyundai Bayon in Europe. The Venue is also known as the Hyundai QXi in some markets like India.
The Hyundai Venue was introduced at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. It is based on the Hyundai-Kia K2 platform, the same one used by the Hyundai Accent. It is manufactured in South Korea, India, and Taiwan. It offers 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engines with 120 hp, 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engines with 83 hp, 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engines with 123 hp, and 1.4-liter diesel engines with 90 hp.
In 2022, the Venue received a mid-cycle refresh, featuring exterior, interior, and technology changes, as well as a new N Line version.
The Venue is designed for emerging markets where compact size and price are determining factors. Therefore, it is not marketed in Europe, where the South Korean brand prefers to offer the Hyundai Bayon. The strong point of this SUV is safety, as it achieved very good ratings with 5 stars in Euro NCAP. It features 6 airbags, stability control, forward collision alert, and an autonomous braking system.
The rivals of the Hyundai Venue are models such as the Ford EcoSport, Nissan Kicks, Toyota Yaris Cross, and Volkswagen Nivus.
