About OPEL CORSA
The Opel Corsa is a B-segment subcompact car from the German manufacturer Opel. Historically, the Corsa has also been sold under 4 other General Motors brands, such as Vauxhall Nova / Vauxhall Corsa (United Kingdom), Holden Barina (New Zealand and Australia), and Chevrolet Corsa / Chevrolet Chevy (Latin America).
The Corsa's body styles have changed throughout its generations. The 3 and 5-door hatchback versions stand out. There were also sedan variants during the early years. In addition to these models, there are other versions such as van, station wagon, or pick-up.
Regarding the engines, the Corsa has always been a front-engine, front-wheel-drive vehicle. The diesel engines were supplied by Isuzu during the first 2 generations.
The Opel Corsa is a vehicle with great sales figures. It is a utility car with a good reputation and available in a multitude of versions. There are also sporty variants, such as the Corsa GSi or the Corsa OPC.
Starting in 2019, the PSA group bought the Opel brand from GM, so it became part of the French conglomerate, which a year later merged with the FCA group. Currently, the Corsa is manufactured on the same platform as the Peugeot 208. There have been a total of 6 generations of the Corsa, which first saw the light in 1982. Among the competitors of the Opel Corsa we find vehicles such as the Ford Fiesta, the Renault Clio, the Toyota Yaris, the Kia Rio, or the Volkswagen Polo, to name a few.
The Corsa F is the first Corsa manufactured under the umbrella of the PSA group. It is practically identical to the Peugeot 208, except for certain peculiarities of the bodywork and dynamic behavior, which is more sporty in the case of the lion brand and smoother in the case of the Opel. It is also offered for the first time in a 100% electric version under the name "Corsa-e".
