OPEL ZAFIRA LIFE: timing chain or timing belt information

About OPEL ZAFIRA LIFE

The Opel Zafira Life is a passenger van or MPV from the German brand Opel. It is produced by Sevel Nord, a joint venture between PSA and Fiat. The Zafira Life is the "bus" version of the Opel Vivaro C, with which it shares practically all its elements. In the United Kingdom, it is marketed as the Vauxhall Zafira Life.

Following the acquisition of Opel by PSA, the French restructured the brand to save costs. These adjustments would spell the end for the Opel Zafira, the legendary MPV of the German brand. Therefore, and in order not to lose the surname, PSA (now Stellantis) decided to recycle the name for the passenger version of their mid-size van.

The Opel Zafira Life van is identical to other models produced by Sevel such as the Peugeot Traveller, the Citroen Spacetourer, or the Toyota Proace Verso. The van therefore takes over from the Opel Zafira C, despite not being a purely logical continuation within the brand.

As is usually the case with vans, the Opel Zafira Life is sold in various sizes depending on the space desired inside. In this case, it is sold with Metro, S, M, and L variants. No gasoline versions are sold, but it is available in 1.5 and 2-liter diesel engines. There is also an electric variant called the Zafira-e Life, with 50 and 75 kWh batteries and an approximate power of 136 hp.
